Homemade Burger Bun

The easiest and simplest Burger Bun ever!!!

Have you ever have a thought to make your own burger bun and even make you homemade hamburger? Yes you can now have freshly baked burger bun at your own kitchen. I love simplifying recipe according the time that I have or what I have in the kitchen rather than keep buying. As I started making my own bread now I thought it would be better if I just bake my own burger bun. 



If you are a busy busy person you might considering on making it in a big amount, and freeze them. No egg No milk in this recipe so no worries if you or your family member have allergy to any of those. I make medium size of burger buns, good size for adult but I bet for kids smaller would be great.

Ingredients:
1. 1 cup of bread flour + 1 1/2 cups of plain flour ( it turned out well with just plain flour)
2. 1 tbsp sugar
3. 1/2 tsp salt
4. 1 tbsp butter or margarine
5. 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
6. 1 cup warm water
7. 1 egg beaten for 'egg wash'
8. roasted white sesame seed

Method:
1. in a large bowl mix flour, sugar, salt, butter and instant yeast.
2. Add water a little at a time and mix well.
3. pour dough onto clean surface and knead it till it doesn't stick on your hand and it's elastic.
4. put it in a greased bowl and let to rest for about 30-45 minutes
5. put dough onto clean surface and divide them, knock it down and roll them to form a round shape    and place it on lined tray. repeat the same to the rest of the dough.
6. let them rest for another 45 minutes.
7. preheat the oven on 175 degrees, brush burger buns with 'egg wash' and sprinkle with roasted sesame seed. bake for about 20 minutes.
