Hey there!!! it's been along time hasn't it? yeaaa a little extra activities had forced me to make a big gap between us but yeayyyy here I am today!π
So this time I'm going to share with you all one of my favourite recipe and its loved by kids here and of course I have modified the recipe so it could be easier for moms out there who got a hard time to find an easy, yummy and crunchy fried chicken while you will still be able to juggle with your work.
Down below this recipe I will also give you some tips on how to make sure your fried chicken turns out well.
Ingredients :
- 500 gram chicken breast cut lengthwise
- 200 ml buttermilk
- pinch of salt
- 11/2 of flour (plain flour + self raising flour) it works fine with just plain flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder (add more if you like a bit garlicky)
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- vegetable oil for frying
- marinate chicken in buttermilk and salt for about 30 minute
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
- take the chicken out of buttermilk (one at a time) and roll it in flour mixture
- Heat oil in frying pan and fry chicken at medium heat till golden and crisp
- Make sure the chicken are well coated with buttermilk (don't shake buttermilk off, put straight in to the flour)
- Heat oil in high heat and once it reaches the highest point turn it low in to medium, after a while put the chicken in. Don't fry at too low heat, fried chicken will be so oily and don't fry at too high heat as chicken will get burn easily while the inside might still undercook.
